The Oak & Holly King
In the heart of ancient lore, two sovereigns stand, Oak and Holly, regal rulers of the land.
The Oak King, born of spring’s burgeoning might, wears the crown of green, the sun’s radiant light. He reigns when life flourishes, vibrant and free, his laughter echoes in every budding tree.
With strength and vigor, he claims his domain, expanding realms where verdant growth reigns. But as the wheel of time spins its eternal round, his power begins to wane, with a softened sound.
Enter the Holly King, cloaked in winter’s chill, his icy scepter, his kingdom to fulfill. With frost-kissed robes and a solemn gaze, he ascends the throne in these cold, darkened days.
His rule unfolds in the quiet of the night, when shadows lengthen and stars shine bright. In the depths of winter’s serene embrace, he holds dominion with a tempered grace.
Yet intertwined, their destinies entwine in a dance of balance, a cosmic design. For as the Oak King yields his majestic sway, the Holly King shall too fade away.
In this cyclical tale of dual sovereigns’ flight, they share the crown, the day, the night. Two halves of a whole, an eternal dance they sing, the Oak and Holly Kings, eternal, unending.
